Pre-race routine:

Woke up 1.5hrs late, grabbed my bag of whole wheat noodles from yesterday, drove to Seward (almost 3 hours).

What would you do differently?:

Get to the pool quicker. The race is set backwards (run, bike, swim), so I waited too long and got cold.

Got stuck behind a driver who didn't know what to do, was swerving and couldn't pass him until he figured things out. Not a big hang-up, but was annoying anyway...

Felt great on the run. Not a big runner, but it went better than I expected.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

very tight corners on the bike, bottlenecking with other bikers on curves with loose gravel, a little swervy, but fun!

This is a totally fun race, and there were tons of volunteers and a great showing. I'll be back
