Total Time = 2h 50m 14s
Overall Rank = 171/279
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 17/22
Pre-race routine:

Did not sleep much the night before so that hurt. Ate 3 waffles dry, and 1 serving of FRS.
Event warmup:

None, I was running late with check in a setting up transition.
Swim
  • 27m 33s
  • 1925 yards
  • 01m 26s / 100 yards
Comments:

Felt like I could not breath after the first 1/4 mile, had to catch my breath and burp a few times, something wasnt right b/c I would have attacked more on the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Watch my breakfast, I think that is what made me feel like crap during the swim even though it was 2 hours before race time.
Transition 1
  • 01m 16s
Comments:

The T area was awful when it came to rocks and stuff so running at full speed was difficult.
What would you do differently?:

I took my time b/c I was starting to feel a little sick. I thought it was just catching my bearings from the swim to the bike.
Bike
  • 1h 24m 20s
  • 25 miles
  • 17.79 mile/hr
Comments:

Got sick and threw up at about mile 12. Not sure if I over-hydrated or something just wasnt sitting well with me.
What would you do differently?:

Watch my food and water/liquid intake.
Transition 2
  • 01m 9s
Comments:

Really slowed down everything trying to catch up to myself.
What would you do differently?:

Not throw up on the bike.
Run
  • 55m 58s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 09m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

My run struggled because I did not have any calories in me at that point. I stopped at the first aid stationa and drank some gatorade and water but then cramped up. I ended up walking past every aid station to take a sip of something.
What would you do differently?:

Not throw up on the bike.
Post race
Warm down:

I had been going so slow on the run that it was like a warm down.

Event comments:

It was a good local race that brought together a lot of racers for the regional area. The course is difficult but Iwould have enjoyed it more if I didnt blow up on the bike. I would def do this race again and would recomend it to others.
