Comments: Did breast stroke the entire way. While drafting, could easily maintain pace, but when in front pace was tough. What would you do differently?: Swim in a faster lane. Probably could have done 13:00 instead of 14:00 if drafting. ![]() Transition 1

Comments: Both calves cramped on the bike. Need to work on doing a swim that doesn't kill my calves. Probably need more hydration leading up to the race. ![]() Transition 2

Comments: First part of the run was really sluggish. It wasn't until about 2k in that I found my legs, and was able to run well. Pain and cramping in calves and pain the in the core on the downs. What would you do differently?: Ingest a gel on the bike right before T2. Could have used a bit more energy to start the run. Also, I probably could have given a better finishing kick, but the mental focus wasn't there. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked for a while, then slow jog. Got some food, then did another slow jog, and some good stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Calves cramping forced me to take it easy on both the bike and the run. I could have swam faster if I went in a faster lane and drafted.
