Run
Comments: I came to the race to run with a 3:30 pacer. i started of a bit faster and figured...what the heck, why not to run at the pace that I train at. So, i kept the 7:45-7:50 pace and was wondering how my legs will hold. this year, i had never run more than 16 miles and i really wanted to tes how my legs would do past this marker. and they held, and i kept running. from mile 10, i felt a bit tired. but continued running at the same pace. i was really not getting any more tired until about 22nd mile when i started having those internal negotiations. the last two miles really hurt. i could not eat much. i only had two gels, 4 pretzels and a cup of Gatorade at every aid station. for the first time ever, i felt like i could not really digest. good there is enough fat on my body to burn. i lost a pin from my BIB belt 300 yards from the finish and wasted 30 seconds looking for it. i am not sure why i was doing that. 300 yards efore hte end, what was i thinking? What would you do differently?: try for Boston perhaps. But then, this was my training run for IM. Post race
Warm down: 4 slices of pizza, 3 bottles of water and off home What limited your ability to perform faster: i was not planning to run this fast. Event comments: i will come back and qualify for boston. Last updated: 2011-05-15 12:00 AM

Not much. Got up at 4AM, had two peanut butter toasts and head off from home for the one-hour drive to St. Joseph
Little bit of stretching in the high school gym.
