Swim
Comments: Had difficulty breathing after abt 200 yds, chose to back off on pace, did not feel comfortable rest of swim. Transition 1
Comments: Put cleats on in transition, had short run to exit, gel dropped off bike just before mount line, picjked it up quickly and onto bike. Was raining and hailing during transition What would you do differently?: Gel came off because of rain loosening tape, will use better tape (rain or shine) Bike
Comments: Cold, rain and hail on ride. Had to cautiously navigate corners and passing. Forgot to start my garmin, so did not save any data. What would you do differently?: Start my Garmin :-) Transition 2
Comments: feet numb, had to sit down to put running shoes on. Run
Comments: Lower back was very sore, after mile 2 had to walk for 20-30yds, pace was good and fairly consistent, was able to pick it up during last half mile. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Possible anxiety at beginning of swim? Conditioning Event comments: Considering weather conditions, there were enough volunteers, and they were cheerful and supportive. Race was well organized and went off on time and I had no issues with anything other than unusually bad weather. Swimming was what I actually prepared for the most, and felt would be my best portion, so was a little disappointed to have had an issue. Last updated: 2011-05-16 12:00 AM
