Swim
Comments: First open water race and only 3rd open water swim. I took it easy because I was uncertain of how I would do, ready to hit it harder at Nation's Tri in September now that I know the ropes. Transition 1
Comments: I had some snags in my first transition, wet boardwalk was very slippery in cycling shoes and had hard time getting cycling shirt onto wet body. What would you do differently?: Wear shirt under wetsuit instead of struggling to put on. Bike
Comments: Good bike, I was happy with my time for my first tri and wet road conditions. What would you do differently?: Need to work on maintaining speed over rolling hills. Transition 2
Comments: I definately need to work on transitions, I lost a lot of time here, probably my biggest take away from today is that I need to practice my transitions. What would you do differently?: Practice, practice, practice. Run
Comments: A good run, probably my strongest category in the event. Could have done a bit better on the pace, I started out a bit to easy but w/in a half mile I picked it up significantly and kept it up. Post race
Warm down: Walk around, stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wet conditions, lack of practice in transitions, swimming technique in open water/confidence to swim open water race. Event comments: For a small race it was well organized with plenty of support. A fun event and nice to have a good local tri! Last updated: 2011-05-18 12:00 AM

Up at 5:00am, drank water, one cup of coffee and ate bannana w/ peanut butter. Showed up at transition area at 6am and set up, had to break down quickly due to thunder storms moving through and set back up at 6:40. Race brief on beach, started a few minutes late due to thunder storm moving through area.
Slow jog, strech, and about 100 yd swim.
