Comments: I was able to run almost this whole event. I did have to take 3 bathroom breaks, one of them emergent. What would you do differently?: I had gotten injured 6 weeks before the race on a long run. So I pretty much did a 5 week taper. I was real worried about this. The longest distance I ran in this training was 20 miles and that was 5-6 weeks before the race. Now I know if you can run 10 you can run 30 miles:) Post race
Warm down: no time to warm-down. The kids were there and I was immediatly on the go. What limited your ability to perform faster: The fact that I am not fast. I had some oatmeal and a bannana 3 hours before the race started. I had to rush 10 minutes before the race to get my shoes on and stuff ready because my timing was off.
no warm up, just running from the porta pottys to the tent to get ready
