Swim
Comments: had a pretty good swim ran into a few lost ass people who was way off course and had to pause to let them go the wrong direction so i had a clear path. some reason on the second lap with about 100 yards to go, things got really packed. as i picked up the breast stroke i got 2 bad charlie horse in left calf and hamstring at the same time slowed the finish up a bit What would you do differently?: thought about 3 Endurolytes and a Anti Fatigue Cap before swim, now wish i would have had them. Transition 1
Comments: T1 went good, thought it was slower then it was cause as i was putting the endurolytes and anti fatigue caps in back pocket of shirt i took a few to maybe help with the cramps What would you do differently?: nothing went well Bike
Comments: not to much kinda what i was expecting for the farm lands of Dade county What would you do differently?: use the winds more, either tail or cross winds, feel like i should have pushed it harder and relaxed more into the wind Transition 2
Comments: things went really good seemed to be in and out like i wanted Run
Comments: crams came back with the rising temps, quads was getting pretty bad at points. had a great first lap and things caught up to me come the second. did have a good 7 miles. parts was off road and had rocks and grass trails. played hell on the Newtons What would you do differently?: should have packed more endurolytes and fatigue caps for the run, ran out just at the end. had it been longer i was in major trouble i think Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: just training, i had the right idea with the time i had of 2 1/2 months but needed more speed work on bike and maybe a few more longer bricks. but for just getting back from the desert and a 2 year deployment it was what i expected Event comments: this ended up being a good and fun race. I would say if you ben thinking of doing it , go for it you wont regret it. i missed this race in 09 because of deployment but really happy i made the choice while still in the desert to give it a go. even with no bike or much to train on i had fun and if im in the country next year when its race day i will be back Last updated: 2011-05-25 12:00 AM

Got to the race just as transition opened at 5am. Bike got set up pretty fast, with it being empy in there. Mixed a bottle of Perpetuim and 2 bottles of Camelback Elixer, checked the tires and placed things where needed.
Went for a short run backwards out the run course, maybe could have went a bit longer but time was coming close to head to swim start. There I got in a little swim, not as long as I wanted cause of the line to get to the water. People was just kinda standing around taking.
