Pre-race routine:

Woke up @ 6. English muffin w/ PB and honey for breakfast. At event by 6:45 and in the water 5 minutes before race time.

Comments:

First Tri swim. Off the line wasn't bad, but I got caught up in traffic and had a hard time finding my line. By the first marker my goggles were fogged up and I was having problems staying on course. Had to mix strokes far too often.
What would you do differently?:

Practice sighting and open water swimming.

Would have been a great transition if I didnt have to put a dry shirt on a wet body. Huge mistake and it cost me at least a minute.

Wear shirt or tri suit in swim.

Good transition. Little trouble finding my spot without my bike there.
What would you do differently?:

Set up transition area so that it is clearly visible to me and pay attention to where it is when I leave.

Legs were not there after the first hill. Took about a mile to get back to a good stride. Strong finish.
What would you do differently?:

Practice runs need to be longer and on more varied terrain.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Equipment issues (rented wetsuit, mountian bike) and inexperience. Knowing what to expect will help me from this point forward.
