Pretty good swim. Love swimming in the wetsuit after training without it. Sun in the eyes during the longest stretch of the run was a bit of a pain. Lots of people throughout the course due to the time trial start.

Good transition mostly. It was a long way from swim exit to the bike, it went smoothly mostly.

Really good bike. In fact, this was an Oly PR pace for me. Was hoping to break 21mph, but 20.9 is pretty close. I was able to switch into and out of race pace without overdoing it.

Great run in that I didn't really feel too taxed until the end. The pace was comfortable. I probably could have gone a little faster than I did, if I had pushed it. But I would have had to suffer to drop perhaps another 10-15s per mile. As it was I enjoyed the run and still had a good pace. Matched my PR pace and ran only 2 seconds slower than my fastest 10k.

Great race. Great setting in downtown DSM. Bike course was well designed and the run to the Capitol is excellent. Lots of people throughout the course as well.
