Swim
Comments: Went out way too fast trying to catch the hotshot 22 year old who beat everyone by about a minute. Kept veering left on the return trip. What would you do differently?: Not go out so fast and sight better Transition 1
Comments: Had some difficulty getting clipped in again and my left shoe wasn't strapped, so that slowed me down getting up to speed What would you do differently?: Learn to start with shoes on peddals? Bike
Comments: Had some gear change problems after coming up one of the hills. Could't get back into the big chain ring, finally shifted the rear gears a bit and got the front to shift again. What would you do differently?: Shift the front more to get used to the gearing Transition 2
Comments: Ran around to back side of the rack and had to run around to the correct side, but not bad other than that. What would you do differently?: Go to the correct side of the rack. Run
Comments: The hills were a challenge for sure. Felt like it would have been just as fast to walk some of them. I am pretty happy with my pace given the challenge of the run course. What would you do differently?: Not much Post race
Warm down: None. Tried to cool down and re-hydrate What limited your ability to perform faster: Some gearing and sighting issues. Transitions were much improved. Event comments: A great race and very challenging. Well run. I earned myself a Geode trophy and a new Olympic PR by 16 minutes! Last updated: 2011-06-01 12:00 AM

Didn't have to get up to early since this is a small race and we stayed in Burlington which is only about 15 min away. Ate a banana and cliff bar and was on my way to Geode state park.
Ran just a bit, which was a first, and swam just a little.
