Drive to the race, check in, wait around on the grass for the race meeting and nibble a bit, bus to the beach and run into the water.

Comments:

It was a beautiful day, warm air and warm water. The food and camaraderie at the end were great. The current was a bit more than last year, and there were more waves than I remember from the past. At the end, people were saying that everyone was about 3 minutes slower than in the past. I was.
What would you do differently?:

It was too warm for me even in the sleeveless wetsuit. Next time they say the water is 68 and the day is sunny, I will leave it in the car.
Post race
Warm down:

Peel the wetsuit in the water to cool down after the finish. Eat lots of yummy snacks, especially the huckleberry ice cream.

Event comments:

For a community run event, they sure do a fantastic job. I hear the construction will be done next year. Good news!
