Swim
Comments: First swim segment was much faster: 13:49 (51 overall) 2nd swim segment: 17:32 (53 overall, second swim much worse, I think b/c of increased wind, but who the hell knows?) Swim started terribly, my face and head were so cold, I just couldn't submerge them and still breathe, took until the first buoy to get into a rhythm, second swim was much better, but I navigated really poorly I believe and was 4 minutes slower (4 minutes!) What would you do differently?: Wear a swim cap, dear lord, get stronger in the water... Transition 1
Comments: Ok transition, completely knocked me flat from the swim, still managed to rally and get out of the was What would you do differently?: swim more in open water, not be as wasted getting out of open water... Run
Comments: Solid run for me, passed quite a few people, about 30 second/mile over 5k pace, which I'll accept, felt strong towards the end, by the wind really fucked with me, plus my feet felt weird...just couldn't hit a true rhythm...sucked What would you do differently?: lose weight, be mentally stronger... Post race
Warm down: Nothing, just ate and walked around...totally worked by the race...just want to drink and eat What limited your ability to perform faster: Weight still a factor, training level a little down, no swim cap... Event comments: Awesome race, can't wait to get more into the series, after events are stellar, tons of sponsors and food, I even won some sock just by beating a guy at the line... 32/44...Male yuck... Tutored until around 45 minutes before race time, just enough to get to the race, change, had a little coffee while tutoring
Just like a 4 minute run and got wet...
