Bike
Comments: This was my first stand alone 40k TT so it was cool to see how hard I could push without a run afterwards. Overall I'm happy with my result since it's better than my oly bike split PR. Hopefully do this course again next month and see how many seconds I can knock off. What would you do differently?: Push through the pain for the last 4-5 miles. I feel like I could have kept the hammer down for the last bit of the course and picked up second place. Post race
Warm down: Cruised for another mile or two to cool down. What limited your ability to perform faster: First time ever doing this kind of race, now I know what to expect. Event comments: Lots of fun, this TT series goes until October I think, see how training goes and how close I can get to that magic 1hr mark. Last updated: 2011-06-03 12:00 AM

Got up at 6:30 and had a gel then drove out the to race venue, a small fitness center about ten miles outside of San Antonio.
Biked down to the gas station for the bathroom, then spent 15-20 minutes on the trainer to get a good sweat going and the HR up a bit. Took a second gel and then went to get into the start line.
