Swim
Comments: Went out hard for the first half, this actually worked for me. Using a full suit is such a good idea for me, I had a great swim. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Never done a T1 with a wetsuit in a short race. It was easy. Also, I decided to race w/o socks and that made things very quick as well. Bike
Comments: Raced this pretty hard, but wanted to save a bit in the tank for the run. I think it was a great bike today. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: I was a bit slow b/c someone racked way too had right as I was about to leave and knocked my bike off the rack. Had a quick sip of water. Quick T2. What would you do differently?: Nothing, just an accident that the guy was a bit excited. Run
Comments: Ran hard. Every mile under 6:40. I was really gunning for a 20:00 split, but didn't have it today. Still I finished very strong. What would you do differently?: Nothing at all, it was a solid run performance. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. I executed a great race. I stayed at the very edge of my limits for each discipline w/o blowing up. Event comments: Fun race. It's the perfect distance and draws out some pretty fast guys. I'll definitely keep doing it. So, 1 spot off the podium. Not too bad considering I had a 4 min improvement over last year. I am very satisfied with my performance today. This is the first triathlon I legitimately felt like I was racing and in the hunt. It's a cool feeling, I can see the addictive nature of it. Wake up, eat some oatmeal, have a bit of coffee. Head down to Long Lake and meet up with Jared
Set up transition and jog a bit. Closer to race time, swim 200 yds or so
