First ows and it went well. Not too choppy, not too cold, not too crowded. Swam steady and gave it a good effort but did not want to get out winded like some past swims I've done. Could have tried harder, but then I would have just been thrashing.
What would you do differently?:

Not give up on drafting off some guys feet after only about 10 seconds

Holy bumpy. Thought maybe they could have shaved down that culvert that was trying to make an appearance. Thought about bunny hopping at the last second. Mostly flat with small rollers, but overall roughness of roads took away some speed of this ride.
What would you do differently?:

Ride a mountain bike.

This is about the easiest run course I've ever done in a tri. There are no hills to spike your hr, plenty of shade, and the crushed gravel I like as well.

Rode the bike course again with some peeps.

Event comments:

Weather was ideal and that always helps. First time at this race and had heard good things and in general was good. Food was basic, though. Thanks to all that volunteered.
