Comments: Was in Coral B but it was still a complete Cluster for the first 5 miles. Ran an 8:05 first mile due to not being able to go anywhere. At the time I was not very happy but looking back I am glad I started slow. Actually felt pretty bad for first 4 miles but then I got in the zone and felt real well throughout. What would you do differently?: Warm up. I am pretty sure this is why I felt bad during the first segment of the race. Post race
Warm down: Beer What limited your ability to perform faster: Overall I'm pretty happy with this being my first however I did miss some workouts and had I stuck to the plan I could have ran a bit better. After a terrible HIM i am glad I rebounded with this and regained confidence. Event comments: Very well orgainzed. The race was very crowded but a ton of fun Last updated: 2011-06-08 12:00 AM

Woke up 5am. Ate a bagel, banana, bagel, and a hammer gel. Sipped on water. Walked 25 minutes to Grant Park while sipping on a Gatorade. Used bathroom at race, took some energy beans.
Used the walk as warm up, didn't run wish I would have.
