Swim
Comments: As if I am not bad enough already at the swim portion, I panioed here and it hurt my time. Just could not find a groove until almost half way through the race. Then with about 150 yards to go I ran into someone who was backstroking and got out of sync again. Just a bad swim. What would you do differently?: Keep calm and find a groove early. Transition 1
Comments: Cut about 1:30 off last years time out of T1 so I am happy with that. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Felt very good on the bike. Stayed in the aero position except for steeper inclines. Almost 2 mph faster than last year and I think it was because I did not breast stroke at all. What would you do differently?: Probably could have pushed a bit harder. Transition 2
Comments: I was very proud of myself for taking my feet out of the shoes on the way into the transition area. This was a very fast transition and I remembered to take my helmet off this time! What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Felt very good on this run. Last year I was over 29 minutes and I think again that carried over from breast stroke in the water. I got into a good pace on the flats and really attacked the hills bith up and down. What would you do differently?: Could have pushed it a little harder. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a wet towel, met up with training partner and family, and then watched my girlfriend finish. She did great and ended up 6th overall for wommen. What limited your ability to perform faster: Knowing where my breaking point is. When I feel good, I sometimes think it could all fall apart at any moment so I just stay comfortable. That needs to change. Event comments: Great race! This was my 2nd year and we will be back again. Last updated: 2011-06-08 12:00 AM

Got up and had a bagel. Headed out to the race site and put final touches on transition
Stretched and watched other waves go off. Cheered on one of my training partners.
