Run
Comments: Felt really good and strong. The crowds were fantastic and I felt like I had extra energy to slap five and give a fist pump every now and then. Was about 30 seconds off from my 1:27 pace in the first mile due to being too far back in the corral. I gained it back over time, but didn't feel stressed. Everything just came together and I beat my previous PR of three weeks ago by 65 seconds! What would you do differently?: Move my way up front in the corral. Try not to breathe the Gatorade instead of drinking it! Post race
Warm down: Stretched fully and had a bag of pretzels, half a bagel, and some ginger ale. What limited your ability to perform faster: Maybe not faster but finish position was hampered by my initial seed at the start. No big deal. Event comments: Great race, good shirt, just right challenge on the course. Last updated: 2011-06-10 12:00 AM

Packet pickup was super easy the night before and I was able to exchange my large shirt for a medium. Very well organized with numerous signs directing the way.
Stayed at my brother's place in Curtis Bay and took the light rail in on race day. Missed the first train due to a slow ticket line, but no worries as there was plenty of time to get to the start.
Basically the walk to the start was my warmup with some stretching in the corral and some leaps to warm up. I had a bowl of oatmeal and Crystal Lite for a pre-race meal.
