Pre-race routine:

banana at home. On drive ate small pbj, 3 pancakes.

Event warmup:

Stood in bathroom line for 30 minutes, ridiculous. Just did some calisthenics.

Good swim. I'm a bit bummed of the time, maybe I could have swam harder? But I think I swam fairly straight, so it wasn't zig zagging as the problem.
But I swam all the way through. Controlled breathing from the start and didn't freak out. Only did a few breath strokes to see where I was going when the sun was really bad, and kept my head down and just swam a lot better.
What would you do differently?:

Go harder?

Another bad T1. This time I was looking for my HRM strap that I forgot to put on. Couldn't find it till after race. Should have just gave up sooner.

This bike course is crazy. The hill was hard. In my last low gear in triple, standing up last 1/4 mile, but made it. Still not at a good bike fitness level, but did ok.
