Pre-race routine:

Got up at 5, 3 packs instant grits and orange juice. Drove to the race with my son and we checked in and set up transition. Talked with a few friends that we ran into.

Lots of slower traffic. I seeded myself based on a 7:00 swim time. Passed 4 people and was passed by no one. Not so sure everyone is seeding themselves honestly.

Got going well, but tried to put my Garmin on my wrist on the bike. Stopped to put it on; why didn't I just do that in T1.

My son got by me on the run and I trailed him by about 50 yards most of the way. Couldn't catch him but finished a few seconds after him.

High-fived my son for a great race and got some soda/cookies/pasta. Ate shamelessly.

Happy with this race - 3rd time I've done this course and PRs on swim, T1, bike and run.
