Swim
Comments: I was kinda happy with this swim. I started out with a comfortable pace and just kept that up the whole swim. I didn't get gassed, didn't get dizzy and passed a couple people What would you do differently?: Nothing. I liked it. Transition 1
Comments: Went without a hitch. Dropped 20 seconds off last year's time and I have no clue how. Bike
Comments: They broke the time trial start into three segments with 5 minute pauses between the segments. The bike course was never crowded. I passed two people at once only a couple times and I don't believe I ever passed three at once. I LIKE this course. Could have pushed a bit harder but I'm happy with how it went. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I was out there to have a good time today. Transition 2
Comments: Dropped 20 seconds off this transition as well. Again, no idea where. I wore socks again and still ended up with less than two minutes in T2. I'll take it. Run
Comments: Wow. Just wow. 8:40 minute miles?? ME?? I don't think so. I'd buy 9:15 or so. Oh well, I'll take it. I had a blast. Was singing Put the Lime in the Coconut most of the way. It was a good run. Post race
Event comments: This race is a GREAT little race and is put on by people who care about getting beginners into the sport. I did roughly this same race a couple years ago as my first race and came in literally at the 50% mark of the overall. Ina puts on a GOOD race! :) Last updated: 2011-06-15 12:00 AM

Standard stuff. Breakfast at 3:00 AM, got to race at 5:45 to volunteer for stuff. Got set up. They changed out the bike racks this year. Supposedly four per rack but that didn't work out so well. I found a Felt B14 that looked lonely so I racked beside it and the two Felts could talk about bike stuff.
None.
