Swim
Comments: Good swim but not great.Probably would have been a little slower without the wetsuit. What would you do differently?: Practice with wetsuit Transition 1
Comments: Used wetsuit strippers to get the suit off my legs since I had never taken it off before. TriGlide worked well. Probably could have just taken it off myself faster. What would you do differently?: Practice T1. Bike
Comments: Biking still seems to be my weakest area. I almost broke 20mph which is good for me but the course is pretty flat. Transition 2
Comments: Good T1 but I had a great rack position so that helped alot. Run
Comments: Good run on a very flat course. Got a side stitch right at the half way point that slowed me down a little. It subsided a little and a couple of guys came by that I could pace with. Finished with a sprint against another competitor and won. Post race
Warm down: Had an Amberbock and a pork BBQ sandwich. delicious. Event comments: Very well run race. Beautiful venue. I stayed with friends in their bayside cottage for the next week and got to enjoy more swimming, biking, and running in Door County. I will be back if possible. Last updated: 2011-06-19 12:00 AM

Got up and ate breakfast at the Comfort inn in Sturgeon Bay. Bagle with pnut butter and grabbed a banana to go. Loaded bike and headed out around 0605.
Biked over to the park from the far end of the parking area to warm up my legs a bit. Got chip and body marking. Set up transition and walked through T1 and T2. Got wetsuit on and swam a little. Water was around 70deg and felt good. Found Karen and the Martens and waited for my wave to start.
