Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4, had a bagel with PB, coffee. Chris came to pick me up and we drove to Leamington. Got a great spot in transition, got marked. Checked the bike, laid out my stuff, etc. Wandered around until about 15 mins before event.
Event warmup:

Warmed up in the lake for about 10 mins. Made sure there would be no wetsuit malfunctions this time. Then chatted with some new girls who were terrified.

I'm not sure about the distance. I have 5.4km on my Garmin and 24.11 seems like a long time for a 5k - but it felt good and I was happy so that's all that matters.

I love this race - it is SO fun, the course is flat and fast and there are always so many wonderful people there!!! That's why I do it every year!
