Swim
Comments: terrible swim! 2:40 pace?! navigation was so bad i think i swam 2000 m + from my zig zagging What would you do differently?: better navigation! Transition 1
Comments: taking time on T1... in no hurry just trying to get focused What would you do differently?: could definitely move more quickly/efficiently no biggie Bike
Comments: tough ride, lots of STEEP rollers, not like anything in OK, first time on the disc and trispoke didn't help on the steeps but blazing on the flats, missed one of the turns and had to double back to get on course What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: again taking time, chatting What would you do differently?: can be more efficient Run
Comments: legs were heavy, walking a lot, cramping started early on the uphills, so steep difficult to run DOWN What would you do differently?: be a stronger runner Post race
Warm down: mill around, chat, stretch, eat, drink, pack What limited your ability to perform faster: the drive, lack of sleep, lack of hill training, inexperience with open water navigation, Event comments: first year for this even and a great time. would definitely do it again. great race to get stronger from ("that which does not kill you only makes you stronger") really good folks Last updated: 2006-04-17 12:00 AM
