![]() Transition 1
Comments: T1 felt good and quick to me. No socks, just grabbed the helmet, glasses and put on the shoes and went. What would you do differently?: Learn how to keep shoes in pedals and transition that way. ![]() Bike
![]() Transition 2
Comments: Got a little lost in T2 but it didn't take too much time. Felt a little slower than T1. Went with no socks. ![]() Run
Comments: Felt really bad for the first mile, wasn't sure i was even going to finish. But eventually I felt better after the first aid station at mile 1 and got into a groove. not a fast groove, but a groove! Saw the guy in my AG that beat me pass me though, so that sucked. What would you do differently?: Maybe take a little off the bike so i dont feel so wiped out at the beginning of the run. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Stretched a lot. Forgot my compression socks though. Sat in the lake for awhile and cooled down! What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more speed work and base endurance so i can not be wiped out at the beginning of the run. Event comments: I always like this race. Small crowd and great people. Kudos to Brittons and all the volunteers. Last updated: 2011-06-20 12:00 AM

Had banana and granola (with a little coffee) for breakfast about 2 hrs before start. Had a PowerGel about 30-40 min before start.
stretched and did some heel kicks and high knees. Didn't swim because i didn't want to go in the water then freeze while waiting for the start (like i saw a bunch of folks doing)
