Swim
Comments: I'm still slow but I'm getting better. Shoulder are still the biggest limiter when it come to my swimming. The lack of flexibilty and increasing tightness makes long efficient strokes very difficult. Sighting was great to the first turn bouy but I had a couple about 4 times on the way back in that I got off course. What would you do differently?: Do more yoga. Actually do any yoga at all. That'll help me more than anything else right now. Transition 1
Comments: Seemed like I was taking longer than I was so I gues I was doing everyhting fairly efficiently. Wetsuit came off without any problems. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: The course was fairly crowded where I was and I didn't feel like attacking and trying to overtake multiple people at one time. I was more than content to sit back and ride comfortably and pass when the time was right. I got passed by quite a few people but I was okay with that. I'm sure I could have pushed the pace a little bit more especially on the first 12 miles but I wanted to try to ride at the pacing that I will be shooting for at B2B. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: I put socks on for the run in an attempt to mimick my plan for B2B. After my blister debacle at White Lake I had to come up with a new game plan for my feet. I was happy with this transistion. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: I started off the firt mile at a solid pace that was below an 8 min/mile. The pace fell off the next two miles and I hit the turn around at an 8:05 overall. The way back was so much nicer without having to fight the grade and I picked it back up to around 7:35 min/miles. I was hoping for an 8 min overall and ended up at a 7:41 so I was pleased. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked around and found my wife. Drank some water. Packed everything up and headed back to the B&B to get cleaned up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: I really like the race aside from finding the first half of the bike course too crowded. The weather was perfect and location is perfect for a nice weekend away from the house without having to drive that far. I'll probably be back next year. Last updated: 2011-06-22 12:00 AM

Up at 4:30 to eat my bagel thin with peanut butter and honey. Left the B&B around 5:20. Made to the race site about 5:45 and starting getting everything setup. Had plenty of time to do everything so that was nice.
