Pre-race routine:

Nothing different. Wake up early, drink coffee, cleanse system, travel to race site.
Event warmup:

Pick up packet, set up transition, meet up with old friends, walk around, etc. No real warmup to speak of.

Nothing spectacular. Some jostling at beginning but settled in ok. Just plodded on along & felt like I was getting into a good rhythm at the end.

Transition was in a field this year that had some rocks & roots in it. Made for slower run out onto the road. My shoes are not good bike shoes as the straps don't stay in the loops when pulling them on. But since I'm not buying new shoes anytime soon, they'll do.

Another slow run on this course for me. It always does me in. Of course, I really didn't push it so it is what it is.
What would you do differently?:

Not make my race my first brick of the year (and in a year).

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training and desire to push it. Mostly was in just finish & have fun mode (which I did).
