really couldn't see or feel other swimmers. was elbowed into goggles twice inadvertently
What would you do differently?:

nothing. good to wait in shade with frozen water to drink before wave started

tried to push the swim harder when reviewing same course splits . . not really faster

arms were tired but maintained aero
very heavy breathing after running the long transition hard

tried putting ice in my sports bra . . . it was terrific!
went from targeting 9.30 pace, to targeting run to the finish with no walk, flagged a little bit taking a long walk at the turn around, but rallied and got it done.

glad I carried my own water, even for the short distance, helped keep my panic about the heat at bay
