Pre-race routine:

Well routine smoothine. We got there late and so I was well nervous hell that I wouldnt make it on time. And the anouncer guy nice he was announced that he was heading up to the race start. I freaked. I couldnt even tell the marker guy my age just told him birthday lol
Event warmup:

Ran to the start line and made it on time that was about 1 km run...thats gotta count. And was on time for the first wave start and I was in the third wave. Got in the water about 5 min before the race. Yieks cold and i dont own wetsuit what do you expect this is my first sprint.

I breaststroked most of the way sadly I couldnt get a rhythm going crawling and kinda freaked which made things much worse. This was first OWS of the season so this wasnt smart either.
What would you do differently?:

Swim more OWS before next race. Practice Practice I used to be much better at this. If I were rich get a nice fancy wetsuit but that will have to wait till xmas

Crashed with the bike about 2 km in. Still had bobble head and was in the wrong gear climbing a hill. when someone decided to pass me but did not let me know i freaked when i saw and went of the shoulder. Couple bruises and bumps richer but eh okay. Got back up had walk to the the top of the hill to get going again which sucked but finshed the rest of ride no problem.
What would you do differently?:

Not crash but not like it was planned. Get my gearing right when going up and down hills

Warm down:

Walk to the car. I was pooring rain pretty cool by the time I got there. Went McD got the biggest fattest meal i could order.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hadnt swam OWS, Crashed my bike and it poored rain. Need to better prepared next time.
