Comments:

This is an out and back swim that runs parallel with the shoreline and not very far from shore either. There is only one buoy to go around but you have to make a 180 around it at half way point which is awkward. One problem is some were crossing the buoy line on the way out or back and I almost swam head on into someone going the other way, geez we could have cracked heads! Just seemed too tight of a course for the size of the lake. The water was fairly calm and the lake felt clean. Contact with others was there, but seemed evenly spread out and I could find my own space good enough. Siting seemed good, which is important for me b/c I am not fast so I can only hope the fast swimmers are zigzaging. Swam strong and was not exhausted coming out of water, but still waiting for that breakthrough swim. This time included about a 100 yd jog from beach to T1 so I probably broke 27min. This swim course may have been a bit short.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. This was a good swim for me.

Comments:

Kinda slow. The whole wet suit thing really throws a wrench in everything.
What would you do differently?:

I'd like to be fast enough to not have to wear a wet suit and not have deal with it

Comments:

This course is pretty flat. There wasn't a hill steep enough to sap much strength from the legs. It seemed like there were more down hills than up, most of he races I've done have been flat which may bite me later. Drove the course prior to with wife and that is always a good idea if time permits.

Course: Trail run with a few hills but not bad. Quite a bit of shade. Two 5k laps. Started this run with slight cramping in quads and they lasted awhile but was able to run thru it. About mile 3 my right calf started tightening up. This has been a problem recently and caused me to lay off any running and do minimal biking the week before. Was able to run thru it but slowed me down some. Did not enjoy this run, which is typical for me.
