Mentally very week. After rounding southern buoy, current/waves/wind became large factor. Felt sorry for myself instead of just beasting it.

Very fun bike course. Headwind going out, but that just means tailwind coming back in. Worried bout congestion on the course, couple times almost got hit/run off the road by racers not checking behind them, but for the most part just stayed on the right and hammered.
What would you do differently?:

Hammer harder.

Had some issues getting water from aid stations late in race. Running with own hydration is awesome, will do it from now on. Heed is amazing at suppressing stomach cramps.

Run faster.

Pacing. Held back to avoid blow out/bonk.

Event comments:

Was initially skeptical bout a race with 10,000 competitors. But, this event was a blast. Fun, FLAT course that was amazingly organized for the number of people/events.

Mandatory tip: GET A HOTEL ROOM NEAR TRANSITION. I don't care how close you think you live, this will be worth its weight in gold.
