Comments: Good run for my first marathon. Have been struggling with hydration issues. Seems like the fuel belt and GU plan worked well. Left calf cramped at mile 25 and had to run/walk the last 1.2 miles. Still under 10:00/mi so really happy. What would you do differently?: Just keep training more. Happy with performance. Post race
Warm down: Ate an apple and walked about 1/4 mile to the school for food. Stopped and took stretch breaks on the way. What limited your ability to perform faster: Some injuries during training, just need to keep running more. Event comments: A little disappointed that you had to walk a ways back and down a flight of stairs to get post-race food. Woke up quick breakfast. 45 minutes before had a GU.
Walked around a little bit. Stayed under an overhang with a bunch of other runners. Shelter from the 50mph winds.
