Swim
Comments: My swim time from last year was 17:04. So, I did improve exactly a minute. Was hoping better result but I'll take it. What would you do differently?: just need to practice OWS more Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Put helmet and sunglasses before start running with bike. take off ear plugs. Bike
Comments: Last year I did this race with my old hybrid bike that didn't fit me. What a difference the right equipment(Felt B16) and the off season indoor training with Coach Troy DVD can make! Transition 2
What would you do differently?: not much. My best leg of the race. Ranked 48th o/a & 5th a/g Run
Comments: again what a difference the right equipment can make! I got Brooks T7 racer just few days before the race and only ran 3 miles with them. My legs felt so light off the bike. Also running NYRR races during winter must've helped a lot. Post race
Warm down: Ate banana, peach and got massage! Thanks to Amber from the massage school in Westport, my legs felt great next day. What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of swim training Event comments: This is the only race I repeated from last year and I'm glad I did. thanks again to organizers & volunteers for putting up a great race.
