Swim
Comments: The swim was terrible!!! Atheletes self-ranked on a scale of 1 - 10 with very little guidance on the scale. All the 10s started, in no order, then all the 9s, and so on. I ranked myself a 4, which was a huge mistake, as there were people WALKING in front of me. Although I passed several people, there were far too many people in the pool to swim efficiently. It was, by far, the worse swim ever. What would you do differently?: I would have ranked myself as a 7 or an 8. Transition 1
Comments: This was my first try at leaving my shoes clipped in and trying to pedal up to speed on my shoes and then into them. It didn't go so well for me, as one shoe caught under the pedal and clipped itself out. What would you do differently?: Either skip the clipped-in shoes or practice it a lot more. Bike
Comments: Since I live at the beach, I can't train on hills, and this course was tough for me. I spent a lot of the race on the small front gear, but at least I never had to get off my bike and walk it! What would you do differently?: More time training on hills Transition 2
Comments: Ran past my rack; want to start running without socks. What would you do differently?: Find a better landmark to find my spot on the rack. Run
