Pre-race routine:

Arrived early, transition set-up took only a few minutes. Transition was on a well maintained lawn in the heart of Chattanooga downtown/waterfront district. Great transition area.

Bike course was enjoyable. There were a couple of long hills that were pretty tough, but overall just an average "rolling" type course. I passed alot of people on the bike.

Took some extra time to put on socks for the run. Been having some blister problems so I decided to be safe and wear socks.

It was a very hot, humid day and by the time I got to the run I was over heating. Took alot of water and dumped alot of water on my head. I was hoping for a pace of 8 minutes or less but the heat slowed me down.

One of the best tris in the South! Very well organized, tons of volunteers and plenty of post race food and drink. Do this race, you will enjoy it!!

Course: Course went thru the bluffview arts district and down the riverwalk. There was a section of steep stairs in the course which was odd and one tough hill on about mile 5. Other than that it was flat for the most part.
