Comments:

To start the run felt ok. Legs were heavy the whole race. The original pace felt good and I thought I could hold it the whole time. Walked the aid startion around mi 6 to eat some chomps and drink. About mi 7 the back really started causing some issues. Had to stop multiple times the rest of the way to stretch it out. Oddly enough the back hasnt bothered me on runs all year. I really thought the calfs would be the ones to throw a fit on me. So add in about 10 stops of 20-40 seconds each and that was the race.

Not bad for my first half. I learned alot on the run. I really trashed my legs about two weeks out and only ran twice since.

I wore the perfect cloting for the day. I was getting warm about 3 mi in the the rain started and never stopped for the rest of the run. I wasnt cold or warm and felt good.

Mi lap paces
1 - 9:45

10 - 9:51
11 - 9:51
12 - 10:44

What would you do differently?:

Place metal mesh on the lower back so whom ever put the knife there wouldnt be successfull.
Post race
Warm down:

Damn it was a cold biotch walk to the car. 30 min walk in 40 degree rain with no rain gear. I was frozen and shaking.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Back issues
