![]() Swim
Comments: Best race swim so far. Never had to stop, never felt any nervousness. Still need to work on sighting. I found myself pretty far right of my targets almost every time. I am sure this cost me some time. What would you do differently?: Sight better. Swim faster - I know what my winter focus will be this year! Giving way too much time away in the swim. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: 5th fastest T1. Used new Garmin for this race. Took an extra 2-3 seconds to put it on here. What would you do differently?: Still have to pry my wetsuit off of my ankles (can't just stomp it off). Getting faster at it though. ![]() Bike
Comments: Legs felt sluggish for first 2-3 miles. Then was able to pick up the pace. Passed a lot of people (due to my slow swimming). ![]() Transition 2
Comments: 2nd fastest T2. ![]() Run
Comments: Felt good - loved having my new Garmin to check my pace the entire time. Definitely helped me push the pace when I saw it starting to slow. ![]() Post race
Warm down: None - they handed out awards while the race was still finishing. Ate a little food, drank a lot of water, received medal, left for home. What limited your ability to perform faster: MY SWIMMING IS HORRIBLE! I am giving 7+ minutes away to the leaders. Have to improve this. Event comments: Great little local race. Miss out on the post race activities - but that is ok with me. Last updated: 2011-07-12 12:00 AM

Had to wait around a long time due to weather conditions. Finally started my swim wave about an hour late.
