Pre-race routine:

Woke up and jumped in the truck. Drank coffee and had a Clif Protein Bar. Not a good choice.

Comments:

There was a pretty decent cross current and it caused some issues for the buoys. Instead of a straight line it was more like a combination of arcs. I went out too fast and pretty sure I let my form go to sh*t. This swim time includes about a minute to get to the entrance of T1, but I still have have been able to do this 2 minutes fast.
What would you do differently?:

Start slow focus on form, then speed up the cadence.

Went well enough. I had goofed off as the swim started, so I was late in the pack. My transition area was pretty clear when I got there.

This went well enough. I hadn't been running much since May due to having a new baby, so this was good enough.

Train more consistently and run faster.

Grabbed a couple of waters and hung out to watch friends finish.

Lack of training.

This is a good small race. Great for wanting to get in and get out quickly.
