What would you do differently?: Good transition... Bike
Comments: No power....after a good swim...lots of people overtaking. Gains made in swim quickly lost on the bike What would you do differently?: More fluids, electrolytes as cramping in last 10km and all run Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Quicker transition....drink fluids on the bike Run
Comments: Cramp in every leg muscle group all through the run. :o( Ran all the way with only walking through the water stations What would you do differently?: More electrolytes on the bike and run.....coke was good but should have had less at the start of the run. a 2 hour run was as predicted but could have gone faster if no cramps Wear a running cap to absorb water over head as heat was difficult....train in the sun and heat to prepare. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike legs.....more training and mileage on bike needed. Greater experience of running in the heat and strategies for heat. 3 week illness before the race Event comments: An extra drink station on the bike.
