Swim
  • 32m 11s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 58s / 100 yards
Comments:

Finally felt comfortable on an open water swim. Ive accepted that Ive lost speed since last year but at least i feel comfortable. In order for me to progress in my AG I think I need a personal swim coach. Passed some 334 and unders but got passed by some 40-44s. Had an overall good swim though
What would you do differently?:

I just need to get some speed
Transition 1
  • 01m 25s
Comments:

T1 went smooth, should have rehearsed a couple times the night before but ran out of time.
What would you do differently?:

Rehearse, or practice transitions
Bike
  • 1h 11m 41s
  • 27 miles
  • 22.60 mile/hr
Comments:

Fun bike course with some hills and flats. Hammered the whole time, was only passed by a small group of hammerheads, paced with another guy in my ag to finish, got him in the last mile.
What would you do differently?:

may start doing bike drills so I dont stagnate where im at. felt good on the bike today
Transition 2
  • 01m 29s
Comments:

unclipped both feet properly, unlike latta. ran well with shoes on, got through t2 aok
What would you do differently?:

practice transitions and start practicing taking my shoes off and leaving them on the pedals
Run
  • 42m 22s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 06m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Had a good solid run, got passed by my teammate between mile 1 and 2, but stayed with my plan as per JET training program, kept him in my sight and reeled him in the last mile
What would you do differently?:

Solid run, 42 was my goal
Post race
Warm down:

Drink some water and coke, eat hotdogs and red beans and rice

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my sides hurt from weight room

Event comments:

Set up did an outstanding job with this race, other than some wet roads weather conditions were great. Great race, tough field
