Swim
Comments: First of all, I accomplished what I wanted......I remained calm the entire swim. In regards to my time, I have NO idea what happened (other than I didn't swim fast). I did do a fair amount of the usual swimming around people, getting caught behind people, and trying to get out of the chaos. I also got cornered a bit at the buoy turn. I don't know that this was enough to slow me down this much. What would you do differently?: Better start position....out of the crowd Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit strippers are the BEST What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: I did decent for me on the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Run
Comments: I felt dead on the run. Mentally running straight makes me feel like it's so much further than it really is. Took in water, dumped a cup on my face, and took a wet towel both out and back in. That helps me a lot on hot days since I hate running in above 70 degrees. What would you do differently?: My pace was slower than I would have liked but I really didn't have anymore to give so I wouldn't change anything. Post race
Warm down: Fluids, food, relax :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Myself? I could be 5lbs lighter, could have trained harder.....that's it. Not satisfied with all of my times but I finished after a 3 yr "break" and I feel like I left it all on the course. Event comments: Sean Ryan runs this race- what more can I say! Simply the best around! Last updated: 2011-07-17 12:00 AM
