Pre-race routine:

Scouted the course the night before and packed my bag. Woke up, had a good b-fast and I was off to the event.
Event warmup:

A little stretching with a small warm up in the lake.

I was in the second wave and I was the first one out of the water from my wave.
What would you do differently?:

Pace was too fast due to the fact that I couldn't catch my breath on the bike.

Couldn't settle in on the bike. It took me about 3 - 5 miles to catch my breath.

Work on jumping on bike.

I had to use my Trek 1000 bike which made things a little slower but I should have been able to go faster than what I was going. Not sure what happened here but I did not like getting passed by so many people who had no bussiness passing me.

The run was difficult for me. I had to stop and stretch a few times but I kept going. There were a few runners in front of me who I used for pacing. That seemed to help quite a bit.
