Swim
Comments: just bad as expected What would you do differently?: train lots more Transition 1
Comments: Long run to transition, actually helped me make up for a terrible swim, probably gained a little time of the rest of the field, swim was actually much worse than shown. Bike
Comments: Decent bike leg, not much biking for the last two months either. It is funny how life takes you for a spin, especially during moving. Thought I had gotten some time on the bike but looking back at my logs you can see that I just did not put in the time as I have been focused on salvaging my run. What would you do differently?: Train more on the bike, getting in at least some shorter rides during the week. Transition 2
Run
Comments: surprised with my run time and came across feeling good, probably because of such a sub par swim. Anyway wanted to finish feeling good and to be ready for a 15K and a 1/2 marathon coming up over the next 7 weeks. Hoping for good times then. What would you do differently?: Probably not much Post race
Warm down: Caught up with a couple of friends, chatted a bit, and came home What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of swim training, sighting deficiences, had not scouted course beforehand Event comments: Overall seemed like a good race, given the amount of competitors, could have been a little better post race but still very well for the amount of people there. I think I heard over 1400 total men and women. Last updated: 2011-07-25 12:00 AM

Got their early, picked up packet, staged transition.
Got in the water about 15 minutes before wave start. New this swim was going to be disastrous as I had not swam in over 2 months since my last tri. Was just going to try and make the best of it all and enjoy the day
