Comments: It was a great run. I found a comfortable but fast pace in no time. What would you do differently?: Nothing. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Went good. What would you do differently?: Nothing. ![]() Bike
Comments: It went amazing. The race site has me at 36kph but my garmin has 36.5kpm but I did start the garmin 20-30 seconds late. In all my other races I would just go all out in the bike but this time I decided to hold back and save some for the run. By the time I got back I had only been passed by three people and lost count of the ones I went by. So to find out I set my fastest bike speed in a race and not even give 100% was a HUGE suprise. What would you do differently?: Not one thing. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Took a few seconds to find my spot in transition. What would you do differently?: Remember where I rack my bike. ![]() Run
Comments: A personal best in the 7k for me. This year I've pushed myself harder then ever in the final run. I started out running around a 3:20 pace and by the time I crossed the finish line I couldn't go under 4:00. I may have only been passed by three people. What would you do differently?: Nothing. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Get a water and drink lots of gatorade. Event comments: Everything fell into place for this race. Personal bests in all three. Last updated: 2011-07-26 12:00 AM

Got up around 5:30 and had a coffee, a couple waffles and some oatmeal. Went to get my aero bottle and couldn't find it. Took me 20 mins to locate the darn thing. By the time I got things in the car and drove to the race site it was close to 7:30.
By the time I got set up I didn't have much time left. I ended up running back to my car to get rid of some stuff and then ran back to the start line for the duathlon. I had some time left so I ran the opening 2k and by the time I was done I had already ran 4k.
