Swim
Comments: This was only the 4th swim of the past two years for me. I was not even sure i would be able to finish it. But i swam very well for no training. Had plenty of energy left, and free style the whole distance. Very pleased overall with my swim. I will get much faster with my I-pool. What would you do differently?: Start closer to the front of the wave. i started at the very back. Transition 1
Comments: I need work on my transition. Been so long since doing this, i was not fast, but i was also not in a hurry either. Just having fun. What would you do differently?: Get serious and put some pressure on it. Organization could be a bit better. Bike
Comments: I would have been around 10th had not made that route mistake. dang it cost me. No biggy though. Had a blast. What would you do differently?: Not go off course. Transition 2

Comments: Hot, damn Hot. Did i say hot. Very happy with my run. This was only my second brick in four years. I left nothing from the bike for my legs. But my legs were there and had no problem. It was just hot. I had some cramping. Always do. Faster on the run than i really thought i would be. I will improve greatly over the next few months. What would you do differently?: Nothing. did about as good as i could today. kept a very steady pace from start to finish. Was never passed on the run. Post race
Warm down: just relaxed, stretch and walk around. Rehydrate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat, bike course mistake. Very little to no swim training coming in. Only one other brick in four years. So ya, lots could have made me faster. Event comments: Bike course just a little confusing for the first time. when i do this race next year, no problem. i should have got there early enough to drive the course. Relaxed, fun. this was my first tri in over four years. My goal today was just to show up and have fun. No pressure.
light jogging to get my heart rate up for the swim. Just a little bit of swim warm up as well. Not far.
