Pre-race routine:

Walked in the dark from the parking area. Did not drink anything two hours before (had to pee during last race). Nothing special...tried to chill out before the start.
Event warmup:

Short run, short bike (mostly to check that bike was ok). Short swim right before the start...water was nice and warm...78°is perfect.

Nice swim...had to sight more than usual, I kept drifting to the right.

Swim faster...will come with time and training.

Not bad...I am getting a bit frustrated because I always start in the second wave...but during the bike I am taken by person after person...all of the FOP age-groupers from all the other waves catch and pass me. I am MOP in my age group, but because I'm in the early wave, I get passed way more than I pass.
What would you do differently?:

Bike lots more...I am still weak on hills.

What would you do differently?:

Best 5k time ever! (even stand alone 5ks) I am very pleased. At mile 2 I picked one dude in my AG and told myself to stay with him...with half mile to go, I asked myself why I was staying behind him...I kicked it up and ended with my fastest ever...very pleased with this run.

Hung out for the awards ceremony.

Good race...the splits on the Set-up website are missing/messed up...Don't know my exact bike time.
