![]() Swim
Comments: Don't know how results compared. Swim was much smoother than two years ago, though all swimmers were all over the place (very little effort to keep everyone behind the start line). Current not as stong as years past. What would you do differently?: Mass start...but would start more to the outside right next time. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Had a problem getting the bike out of the rack as the front of the seat was on the rack and not the rear of the seat; so it got stuck on the rack as the rack was a little low. ![]() Bike
Comments: Don't know overall or AG splits. 8 climbs over the entire route. Front gears were sticking a bit more than desired. Legs felt slightly heavy so I tried to keep fresh as much as possible throughout the course. My bike training has suffered as I've been focusing on the marathon training. What would you do differently?: Everything felt better/faster than Speedway tri four weeks earlier which was also flat. ![]() Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Forgot Garmin on bike, costing about 10 seconds. The 10 seconds didn't make a difference to age group placement, so no worries. ![]() Run
Comments: I ran 3 minutes faster than Speedway tri four weeks earlier which also didn't have any bridges. Granted the climate was overcast versus total sun, my legs felt fresh and I was crusing, especially the last 3/4 mile. Breathing throughout not a problem. What would you do differently?: Keep running! :) ![]() Post race
Warm down: Two bottles of water...one over body and one to drink. Beeline to massage tent. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training on the bike. Event comments: Great organization, well-planned, good entertainment and post-race activities. Keeps getting better and better (and more fun)! Last updated: 2011-08-06 12:00 AM
