Swim
Comments: Good swim. Goal of 20 min. Was just inside of it. Should have pushed a little harder. Had trouble with chop and bilateral so I just breathed to my right. What would you do differently?: Go faster! Transition 1
Comments: Timing chip came off with wetsuit. Really glad I caught it. This was a great transition for me. Of the women in my age group, I was the fastest t1. What would you do differently?: Nada. Bike
Comments: Good bike split for me. I was super happy with the result. I kept thinking about Kim Parker yelling at me to go faster so I did. What would you do differently?: Go faster, but overall I am super happy with my effort and result. Transition 2
Comments: A little slow. Had trouble getting on wet feet into slots. This happened in another race. Still a solid t2 Run
Comments: Great run for me. This was the fastest run split I've ever had even compared to a stand alone run race. I developed a bit of a cramp in the last mile which slowed me a bit. I just kept pushing harder. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Cheered on other participants, got some light snacks in expo area. Waited for exults and when they weren't posted, I jogged the mile back to transition tom get my stuff. Did not really stretch but did a bit when I got home. Wore compression pants to bed. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramp and wanting to avoid drafting on bike course which was challenging. Event comments: Would have liked to see mile markers and people not cheating on the run course Last updated: 2011-08-08 12:00 AM

Got up, grabbed cinn raisin bagel with butter and cup of decaf. First time with coffee before race. Got to race early, set up, pooped, walked around and got a feel for transition. First race I ever did on my own.
Swam for about 5 min to get used to water. It was in a bay so I wanted to acclimate to temp and saltiness.
