Swim
Comments: Felt good and pushed for most of the swim. Had no one to really draft off of and had no idea where I was in relation to anyone else, but I felt like I was doing ok. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: yikes. I didn't feel like it was great, but didn't feel like it was that far off the leaders. What would you do differently?: It is time to put shoes on the bike I guess Bike
Comments: Went hard the whole bike. The leaders had a good gap on me, but I was trading spots with one other guy in my AG and wouldn't let him beat me into T2. I don't think there was much more I could have done on the bike. Pretty good ride. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Much better than T1. Still a few seconds lost to the leaders, but not much. Run
Comments: Started with 2 others and managed to drop them. I caught another 1 or 2 to move into 16th place by the final turn. I had 2 more in my sights at the finish and was reeling them in, but ran out of race course. Happy with my run. Especially for some of the training issues I have had and how I pushed the bike. People were just faster this year than last. Good racing by them. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Cheered on K and the other finishers and then ate burritos and blueberries waiting for the awards. Event comments: Great local race. It is getting faster and faster, but it still has a fun small time feel to it. It's a fast course and good post race food. Last updated: 2011-08-11 12:00 AM

We woke up, had a granola bar, and made the short drive over to the race site. They had assigned spots labeled with our name for the previous year's top ~20 racers, so I was bib #7 with a nice spot up front. It meant I didn't get to see everyone in my AG, but it was a nice touch.
